Blast to the Past–Costa Rica

Rick and I had our little nucleus of neighbors over the other night for posole (a lovely spicy New Mexican soup) and dominoes. While discussing the civil unrest at the Capitol last week, we jokingly talked about moving/retiring to Costa Rica. Have you been? It’s so beautiful! We even met a few expats while we were there two summers ago and they were very happy with their decision.

So until we can go back (or travel in general!) I’ll highlight a bit of our trip to entice you, in case you haven’t been. It was a trip we took through the junior college that I worked for and we saw so much in our ten days there! We flew into San Jose, so this was basically in the southern part of the country. Next time we fly into Liberia and see the northern region with more sun and sand!

We began with a tour of a coffee plantation. It was heavenly, if you are a coffee fan like we are! The hillsides, the people, the WORK–it was all amazing.

There were a few stops in between, and we marveled at the countryside!

Next we went on a chocolate tour. My next favorite thing! Who knew it was such a labor intensive process?

Next it was a trip to Arenal volcano to see the lava flows, visit a butterfly garden, and take a river cruise and tram ride!

And what would a trip be without eating fabulous food?

The last couple of days brought us back around to San Jose to see the amazing architecture, shops and finally an evening full of music. Thank you Costa Rica!

Essential Oils: I still LOVE and will continue to promote Young Living Essential Oils! If you are new to essential oils, I highly recommend. And I think when you check out the number of companies that are out there you will agree that Young Living is really the best!

When in doubt, always keep Citrus Fresh in your arsenal. This multitasker, a delightful blend of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, mandarin orange, and spearmint is wonderful diffused. It promotes mental clarity. Its uplifting scent also invokes feelings of happiness and comfort.
