No post last week because I could NOT focus on that AND enjoy a cruise at the same time. Truth be told, I am not that technology savvy. And I found out while traveling that the camera lens on my phone was cracked! I guess I could have written a post but not linked the pictures, so what would be the fun in that? Oh well. Live and learn!
It seemed like it took FOREVER for the cruise to happen and now we’re already home (sad face). It was such an amazing experience! We flew into Barcelona, Spain to begin our trip.We only had about 36 hours and that of course wasn’t enough! I have witnesses that heard Rick say we need to go back and make that our base next time. Yeah! Also, there was a huge storm the morning of our departure so we reeeeally didn’t get to take advantage of sightseeing the beautiful city. Next time!
Azamara Club Cruises is a unique cruise line because it only holds about 700 passengers. It belongs to Royal Caribbean, along with Celebrity, both of which we have cruised with before. We did miss the gambling on the smaller ship a little, but not the sea of people! Breakfasts, lunches and dinners were much smaller and more intimate.
The weather was mostly Texas-like (hot!) our entire trip but we learned to make the best of it. We Americans are truly spoiled with air conditioning and ice! Ha ha! We made the best of it with sightseeing and eating locally. I loved every bit of the immersion into the local cultures. Stops on our cruise included Sete and Marseille, France, Monte Carlo, Monaco, Livorno and finally Rome, Italy. Just wish we would have had even more time to explore!
Some pictures of our incredible journey. I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone if you haven’t already! What is your favorite place outside of the US? I am always looking for suggestions for our next adventure!
Wait! I didn’t show you OTHER places!
Essential Oil: You can take your Young Living essential oils with you on vacation! Amazon has some great travel diffusers. EOs that I especially like are Purification, Stress Away, and probably Citrus Fresh, because I can never decide which citrus oil to bring! Also, a couple that might help with settling an upset stomach would be ginger and Digize.
